Are you looking to remove a significant amount of plantation timber, tree wood or wood waste from your property? We're here to help! Our hardwood timber and log disposal services are designed to make it easy and hassle-free for you to get rid of unwanted logs and plantation timber.

The Green Centre is committed to sustainable and eco-friendly solutions for the disposal of hardwood logs in Melbourne. Our dedication to environmental preservation dates back to 1994, when we started as a green waste recycling and disposal facility.

Types of Hardwood We Accept

At The Green Centre, we welcome timber and logs from various residential, commercial and industrial sectors, such as private plantations and forestry businesses.

Please note: We do not currently accept softwood, pine or treated timber.

How to Deliver Your Hardwood for Disposal

Please note that all timber must be delivered to our facility in Keilor. We do not offer freight services, but we may be able to provide assistance in finding cartage, depending on your location.

However, for bigger projects such as a plantation being cut down we are able to provide cartage. Contact our friendly team for more information.

How Are The Logs and Hardwood Brought in for Disposal Treated?

At The Green Centre, we ensure that all hardwood logs brought in for disposal are recycled in an environmentally friendly way. One of the ways we do this is by turning the hardwood logs into firewood.

After the hardwood logs are brought to our facility, they are processed and cut to size before being seasoned to remove moisture. This makes the firewood more efficient and easier to burn. Our seasoned firewood is of high quality, making it an excellent choice for heating and cooking.

What is the Minimum or Maximum Size of Disposal Logs you Accept?

The logs need to be a minimum length of three metres, however, there is no limit on the quantity, weight or size of the logs after that.
