Wood Fired Pizzas
In the busy suburb of Brighton located at
118 Church Street is a favourite amongst diners the popular White Rabbit
I chose Valentine's day to visit White Rabbit and the lovely owners'sam & Violet Daou - ....what an absolute delight both food and company....
Sam and Violet have been operating White Rabbit for approximately 11 months, but have been in the restaurant industry since 1975. They have three of their four children working at the business and as such you are immediately made feel most welcome and a part of the family.
Even though this was a VERY busy evening for White Rabbit, the food was not compromised. The flavours were out of this world!
Chef Dan, clearly an artist - creating works of art with food visually whilst also enhancing the flavours to tantalise your tastebuds.
We started the evening with a quail dish seated in a rice noodle bird nest with pine nuts - this dish was so visually attractive and delicious, it was shared around the table without exception.
We also enjoyed the Seared Jumbo Scallops, parsnip pur e, polish sausage with pickled fennel. Another favourite.
For Main, I chose the Lamb Ribs with Rustic Fries and salad. The meat was literally falling off the bone.
I was raised on a beef farm and I have never enjoyed meat quite this tender.
We shared a trio dessert complimented by coffee to complete a perfect evening.
Each of the dishes were presented perfectly. I will be back and encourage you to dine at White Rabbit.
