Is our Redgum Firewood Wet??
Ok, so typical Melbourne weather, we are getting lots of rain in Spring…..
Some of you may ask, is our firewood “dry“?
Of course after rain our firewood is wet, however, it is “split and dry” which essentially means that it will be ready to burn within hours.
When referring to “dry” wood, we are determining if the wood is “green” or not. If wood is green, it will not burn as well and may smoke.
So just confirming that our wood is “dry” and ready to burn at all times.
Hope this clears up you query
On the left is wood after heavy rainfall / On the right is wood a couple of hours later….
