Instant Turf – Spring
Spring Turf Seasonal Information:
Isn’t the year going by quickly? It’s time to venture back outside and enjoy your gardens and backyards.
Now that the weather is starting to warm up the drought tolerant varieties will start to come out of their dormant phase and green up.
Growth will be minimal until we get approx. 3 weeks at 24 degrees, probably in November.
Here are some helpful tips for your instant lawn now that Spring is upon us:
Fertilising your instant lawn:
Remember to fertilise at the start of each season, Sir Walter Fertiliser – 4kg or 10kg available
You do not need to water the drought tolerant varities much until the Summer months are here
Buffalo – keep above 40mm, may need to mow once a month
Kikuyu – keep above 40mm, may need to mow once a month
Couch – required every 2-3 weeks
Fescue (not drought tolerant):
Mowing is 40-60mm
Watering – depends on rainfall, but once weather warms up you can water up to 3 times per week.
